DIAMOND RIO (Nominated for Vocal Group of the Year.)

Though they come from different states and varying backgrounds, the members of Diamond Rio consider themselves brothers. Gene Johnson (mandolin), Jimmy Olander (electric guitar), Brian Prout (drums), Marty Roe (lead singer), Dan Truman (piano) and Dana Williams (bass) signed with Arista Nashville in 1989 and celebrated a No. 1 with their first single, "Meet In The Middle." Other hits followed, including "In A Week Or Two," "Love A Little Stronger," "Walkin' Away," "How Your Love Makes Me Feel," "One More Day," "Beautiful Mess" and "I Believe." Amassing nine No. 1 hits, 18 Top 5 singles and sales of more than 11 million albums (with each disc certified Gold or Platinum), Diamond Rio remains one of the top groups in Country Music and recently recorded the compelling "In God We Still Trust." The four-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year winners set an all-time category record in 2005, becoming the only act in CMA history to garner 15 consecutive nominations in the category. Diamond Rio's most current release is their 2002 album, Completely.
