RASCAL FLATTS (Nominated for Vocal Group, Album and Single of the Year.)

Having sold more than 8 million albums, Rascal Flatts is celebrated for their vocal harmonies and ability to pick great songs. Jay DeMarcus got the band started by convincing his cousin Gary LeVox to leave his steady job in Columbus, Ohio, and join him in Nashville. While DeMarcus was playing in Chely Wright's band, he befriended Joe Don Rooney. One night, DeMarcus and LeVox called Rooney to fill in as a guitarist, and soon the three formed Rascal Flatts. They released their self-titled debut album on Lyric Street Records and hit the road hard, gaining thousands of new fans. They scored hits with "Prayin' For Daylight," "This Everyday Love" and their first No. 1 "I'm Movin' On." After the release of their second album, Melt, in 2002, Rascal Flatts won the Horizon Award. In 2003 and 2004, Rascal Flatts picked up CMA Awards for Vocal Group of the Year. The group's latest release, Feels Like Today, has already produced two No. 1 hits, "Bless The Broken Road" and "Fast Cars And Freedom," and has been certified triple Platinum. Their current single is actually a hidden track off Feels Like Today, called "Skin (Sarabeth)."
