Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards, unlike the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards, are a multi-genre award show. The Awards Show is held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on February 8, 2006. It will be broadcast on CBS from 8pm - 11:30 pm ET. Get the scoop on watching the show this year.

When is the show on?:

Get yourself comfy. It's a long show. It starts at 8:00 pm and ends around 11:30 pm ET. on CBS. Merle Haggard will be one of the recipients of the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Awards, along with David Bowie, Cream, Robert Johnson, Jessye Norman, Richard Pryor, and the Weavers.

Pairing up to sing on the show will be Keith Urban and Faith Hill. Interesting! Other non-country stars will pair up as well, notably Mary J. Blige with U2, and Christina Aguilera and Herbie Hancock, and Jamie Foxx with Kanye West.

Also performing on the show will be New Artist nominee Sugarland, who will sing "Something More."

Big & Rich join the short list of presenters announced so far. I will post updated information here when it is announced.
