Blake Shelton Biography:

Blake Shelton was born on June 18, 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, Blake moved to Nashville. He started with a publishing deal, and in 2001, was signed by Warner Nashville, where he released his self-titled debut, which brought him his first No. 1 song right off the bat, with "Austin." This was followed with two other Top 20 songs.

In 2003, he released his sophomore project, The Dreamer. The lead single, "The Baby" became his second No. 1 song. Two other songs didn't fare as well, and in 2004, Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill was released. The first single this time did NOT go to No. 1. In fact, it barely cracked the Top 30. "When Somebody Knows You That Well" peaked at No. 37. But, when the hilarious "Some Beach" was released, it shot straight to No. 1. The album also contained a cover of Conway Twitty's "Goodbye Time," and "Nobody But Me," which peaked at 10 and 4 respectively.

In 2006, Blake released Pure BS. The lead single, "Don't Make Me" didn't shoot to No. 1, but made it all the way to No. 12. This was followed by "The More I Drink," and "Home." The latter is a song made popular on the pop charts by Michael Bublé, and was another No. 1 for the star.

Blake released Startin' Fires in 2008, with the lead single, "She Wouldn't Be Gone" going straight to No. 1 for two weeks.
