So my initial worries when I reached that "site unavailable" message were unfounded. Roger's still out there in Austin, knockin' 'em dead, and hopefully there will be a new disc one of these days. In the meantime, at least I have one more to get (some of the best places for finding independent country singers include TexasMusicRoundup and CD Universe ), and if you don't have any of Roger's discs, listen to what he's got loaded up at his MySpace and prepare to be wowed. While I recommend Texas Music Roundup because they have some smokin' deals (buy five CDs and they're $10 each) and they are great for supporting independent Texas artists, CD Universe has great prices on individual discs (and are, in fact, cheaper than Amazon). Buy 'em. Support those independent musicians (I like the fact that when I pulled up That Kind Of Lonely the CDs that were recommended for me I already own - Robbie Fulks, Dale Watson, and Hank III. I'm on the right track, apparently.) If That Kind Of Lonely is half as good as the other two discs, it'll be great. Guys like Roger I'll buy without hearing a single note of music, because I know they'll treat me right.
