With some help from co-writer Kara DioGuardi (her onetime American Idol judge), Carrie Underwood ventures into autobiographical territory with this tune from Play On. It tells the story of a young woman about to get married, who wants nothing more in the world but her mother's blessing. Released as a single in 2010, "Mama's Song" showed a less bombastic side to the singer.
