A Place to Land Deluxe Version Bottom Line:

For those of you who are fans of Little Big Town, you are in for a treat. They are re-releasing their last record A Place To Land. With this version, fans are able to listen to four brand new songs including their smash hit with Sugarland and Jake Owen called "Life In A Northern Town." Switching to Capitol Records may have been a risky move at first, but it has turned out to be a great one. Out of all of the new music coming out of Nashville these days, this one is at the top.

About Little Big Town:

From the first time I heard Little Big Town, I knew that they were bound for great things. They bring to life some amazing stories as well as some interesting situations that we as humans tend to get ourselves into. Each of them display an amazing amount of respect for each other and the music they create.

Phillip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, and Kimberly Schlapman make up the group Little Big Town. Each are key players in keeping the band alive through all of their ups and downs. Many people think they just appeared out of nowhere and shot straight to the top with their first single "Boondocks." This is obviously not the case. They struggled through some major lows, but each time bounced back with more integrity, more appreciation, and much more class.

It seems every time this talented group steps onstage, they manage to deliver a better show than they did to the last audience. If you ever have the chance to meet them, you will clearly see that the fame has not gone to their heads. They all share a chemistry that few artists have with the fans. Phillip has always been known to talk to the fans and treat them as if they were a part of his own family.

They have been together for so long, that each time they sit down to write a tune the outcome is simply magical. Perhaps they have not hit the level of success that some of the other groups in Music City have experienced, but give them a couple years and I think they will be winning every single award that the CMA's and ACM's offer.

A Place to Land Deluxe Edition - The Songs:

The first tune off of this re-release is called "Fine Line." It is amazing and is a perfect way to start off a record. This is the current single being played on the radio, so many of you are probably already familiar with it.

"I'm With The Band" was the first single to be released off of the album when it was originally released. It tells a great story of their life and what it feels like to constantly be on the road. These guys are real and there is no denying it.

One song that really sticks out is "Novocaine." Sometimes people are going through a rough time and just need someone to lean on. That's what this song is all about.

The title track is a pretty good song about the never ending task of trying to find love. Some people never seem to have a problem, but others seem to never find that special someone.

Moving on to a song that was added to this re-release is "Good Lord Willing." It has a great sound that will have your head moving from the first note. Some people have a bad habit of always looking for trouble. It is in their nature and there isn't anything that anyone can do to change it. Well the character in this tune is constantly running from the law or stealing someone's girlfriend. Pretty much the whole tune is about him getting out of trouble.

"Love Profound" is a great acoustic tune simply about love. It is great, but it is outshined by "You're Gonna Love Me." This is a great breakup tune that sounds perfect with Little Big Town's musical talents.

Bringing the record to a close is "Life In A Northern Town." This was originally recorded by The Dream Academy, but with the help of Sugarland and Jake Owen, they proved that this song was meant for them to sing.

With Christmas right around the corner, this would make a perfect stocking stuffer for any country music lover.
