Wynonna Judd is finally releasing a new album and it is fantastic. Sing: Chapter One is Wynonna's seventh studio album and includes hit standards from multiple genres that have impacted her life. Although she has been in the music industry for nearly twenty five years, this album brings a refreshing sound to her powerful voice.

About Wynonna

Wynonna Judd has been one of the most influential women in country music ever since she first stepped onto the stage as one half of legendary team, The Judds. They were able to blend country and blues, then mix it with some rock and give the world something that had never been heard before. With hits like "Grandpa (Tell Me Bout The Good Old Days)," "Mama He's Crazy," "Love Is Alive," and "Love Can Build A Bridge," The Judds' success took them to the top and won helped them win just about every award in the industry.

Upon the departure of Naomi, Wynonna had to go out and find herself as a solo artist. This turned out to be no easy task. She battled everything from record companies to personal struggles. Still, with everything she has encountered, Wynonna has climbed the charts as a solo act with several hits including "No One Else On Earth," "Girls With Guitars," "Tell Me Why," and the unforgettable "She Is His Only Need." The confidence she displays while performing gives off an "I am woman hear me roar" type of attitude. Just ask anyone who has ever listened to an album or seen her in concert, and they will tell you she is one strong woman who sings about life, love, and heartache. One thing is for sure and that is if you hear Wynonna singing about something, she has experienced it, in one way or another.

As soon as this record started, it was clear that it possessed a special sound that no other Wynonna Judd album has ever contained. When deciding on the material that would be used for this project, Wynonna looked deep into her soul and decided to record an album that contained music from her past that has touched her the most.

The first song on this amazing record is the tune "That's How Rhythm Was Born." At first, I thought it left something to be desired, but then I gave it another chance and it grew on me very quickly.

The second track is a personal favorite. It is a remake of Hank Williams' classic hit "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." From the second Wynonna starts singing this song, it is clear that it is very special to her. You can hear the sadness in her voice as she hits every note.

"I Hear You Knockin'" is awesome. It has a great mix of county, rock, and blues, which really showcases Wynonna's talent.

Tammy Wynette's "Till I Get It Right" will hit every listener hard. It is about a woman who always seems to find the wrong kind of man. One thing that she consistently tries to do is to remain positive. This helps her move on to the next relationship.

"Are The Good Times Really Over," "The House Is Rockin," and "Anyone Who Had A Heart" are all fantastic, but "When I Fall In Love" really shines bright.

Wynonna has always used her music to express what she feels inside, but this record gets even deeper. Sing: Chapter 1 is a unique album that deserves a listen.
