Bobby Bare's latest release is entitled Bobby Bare Sings Lullabys, Legends and Lies (And More). It's a 2-CD compilation released on RCA/Legacy Records. The first disc is a repackaging of the 1992 CD Lullabys, Legends and Lies. This 14 track disc includes such Bobby Bare classics as "Marie Laveau" as well as a live version of "Daddy What If," a song that he recorded with his son Bobby Bare Jr. Several of the songs have spoken introductions by Bobby to help set up the story being told within the lyrics.

Other tracks worth mentioning on Disc 1 are, "The Wonderful Soup Stone," "The Winner," "She's My Ever Lovin' Machine" and "Sure Hit Songwriters Pen." The disc closes with the longest song on the disc "Rosalie's Good Eats Cafe" which clocks in at 8 minutes and 10 seconds long.

Disc 2 is a collection of 16 songs that Bobby recorded that were penned by Shel Silverstein. The disc starts off with the song "Sylvia's Mother" made famous by the group Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. Other tracks worth mentioning are, "Singin' In the Kitchen," a fun song that is really catchy, especially with all the kids singing along. Then there's the song "$100,000 In Pennies." Nothing like robbing a bank and ending up with a million coins for your trouble. Then there's the song "Alimony." Need we say anymore? Then, there are 4 live tracks, "Rough On The Living," "Numbers," "Tequila Sheila" and "Qualudes Again." This is a fine collection that any Bobby Bare fan would enjoy.
