Guide Review - Billy Dean - The Christ
When I heard Billy was coming out with a Christmas CD, I knew I just had to have it and then I learned it had my ultimate favorite Christmas song on it, I really had to have it!! Billy's rendition of "Mary, Did You Know?" is absolutely the best I have ever heard done. The vocals of Billy and David Pack, just really do this awesome song justice. "The Christ" is the first track on this CD and it is also a wonderfully done song. It talks about the real reason for this wonderful holiday season.Billy also does a duet of "Silent Night" with Dolly Parton. Dolly is so sweet and Billy refers to her voice as angelic, I couldn't agree more. Billy's daughter Hannah add something real special to a couple of songs, with a duet with her Dad on "Just For Me And You," and her and her friends in a background chorus on "Away In A Manger." The ending on this one is real sweet too, made me tear up!!
There is not one bad song on this album, and it is such a great addition to any Christmas collection, with tunes of "What Child is This," "Little Drummer Boy" (A favorite of mine) and "Oh Holy Night." Billy has really out done himself on this one and you can hear it in his amazing voice, the love he has in his heart for this kind of music. And what a special thing to have his daughter on such a album. Go out and add this one to your Christmas collection, you don't want to miss out on this one.
