Amy Grant - Greatest Hits 1986-2004

The Bottom Line

Grant's 19th project contains songs from Christian and mainstream pop hits. The two new songs on this album are typical amazing Amy Grant hits. She has had 25 million albums sold, 24 Dove Awards and five Grammy Awards - and she still looks and sounds as beautiful as she did in the very beginning when she started with Word Records in 1977. Now approaching the anniversary marking her 25th year in the business of making music, Amy Grant has finally come full circle with this project.

Guide Review - Amy Grant - Greatest Hits 1986-2004

This is the very first "Best of" Amy Grant since she began her career. Along with hits like "The Next Time I Fall" and "Baby, Baby" to "Every Heartbeat," Amy has added two new recordings. "Come Be With Me." and "The Water," which was co-written by Grant and includes hubby Vince Gill on electric guitar. Amy's Dove Awards include Contemporary album of the Year and Artist of the Year, plus a Grammy win for Best Gospel Performance. Baby, Baby" was the irst "Christian" music song to reach the coveted number one spot on Billboard's chart.

Greatest hits include the duet with Chicago's Peter Cetera, "The Next Time I Fall," which reached No. 1 on the pop charts. Songs that have always been my favorites are from her 1991’s (now multiplatinum albumHeart In Motion, her first Top 10 pop album.) Like "Baby Baby" and my ultimate Amy Grant favorite that takes me back to a concert of hers when she had everyone in the audience involved is "I Will Remember You." She made you feel like she was talking directly to you and she has been on my top female list for years.

Who can forget her duet with hubby Vince Gill, with "House Of Love." Their voices together just makes the sweetest sound. I read that Amy Grant knows how to capture a heart and she has done that many times over and over again with the way she's been sharing her life, her music and her faith for decades. I hope she continues to do this. I sure have been touched by her music. Amy also has a Greatest Videos to go along with this album.
