Guide Review - Jaime Hanna and Jonathan McEuen

Well, as the old saying goes, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." That truly does apply to the duo Hanna-McEuen. When you have parents like Jeff Hanna and John McEuen, the founding members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, you're almost destined for a career in music. Such is the case for cousins Jaime Hanna and Jonathan McEuen.

With a sound that can best be described as a modern day Everly Brothers, Hanna-McEuen blends their tight vocal harmonies with rock solid guitar playing. With pop rock songs like "Something Like A Broken Heart" and "Rock And A Heartache," to the loving softness of "Prayer For You" and "Ocean," as well as the toe tapping "Wild Eyes Of Love," Hanna-McEuen's genuine talent is quite apparent throughout this entire CD. You'll find this collection of songs to be very smooth and fun to listen to. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but consistently good!

So, if you love the modern country sound, you'll love the self titled debut CD by Hanna-McEuen. This CD is packed with great songs that are fun to crank up and sing along with.
