Guide Review - Kevin Fowler - Loose, Loud and Crazy

You can never go wrong with a Kevin Fowler album because the man sure knows his country music. His song writing ain't too shabby, either, which is why some have been covered by Mark Chesnutt & Sammy Kershaw.

"Loose, Loud, & Crazy" sets the fun, upbeat tone for the album as Kevin sings about painting the town because he's had a long week & he needs to dance with a honky tonk baby. Two-steppin' "Get Along" reminds me of Kevin's song "Butterbean" while "Hard Man To Love" is a little slower being about unconditional love. "She shines forgiveness from her patient eyes, I don't see what they see in me" are poignant lyrics.

Kicking the speed back up is first single "Ain't Drinkin' Anymore," where the man says to various people that he might not be drinking anymore, but he isn't drinking any less because no way is he giving up good times. Mark Chesnutt joins in on a duet entitled "Political Incorrectness," a song about how speaking your mind has turned into a crime but they aren't changing who they are just to fit in with the "norm."

Tackling the subject of love, "A Matter of When" showcases Kevin's ability to convey strong emotions. "I'll Try Anything Twice" is about giving chances because sometimes it could turn into something long-lasting like a twenty plus year job or relationship. The humorous song "Don't Touch My Willie" closes out the album - no matter what someone has heard about the man, you can't touch his Willie... Nelson music, especially on the first night.
