Guide Review - Shelly Fairchild - Ride
Ride takes you on a ride twisting and turning from the take-no-gruff first single, "You Don't Lie Here Anymore" (in which she shows the range she has in her voice) to the passionate "Kiss Me" and "Ready to Fall." Shelly has hit it with this album. From the stomping power of "Down into the Muddy Water" and to the very sensitive "Fear of Flying," and "I Want to Love You," which is my favorite with the line: "I want to hold your face in my hands." How sexy is that?!Shelly's songs speak of real-life issues, with heart and soul. When she wrote the verse and chorus to "You Don't Lie Here Anymore" with Lemaire and Mills she said she walked out saying 'This is going to be my first single', she said she just had a strong feeling about it. Don't blame her, iand I'm glad she went with it. t's a great first single.
"Tiny Town," Shelly's second single off the Ride album is a story about everything you go through in life when you have a dream you want to fulfill. But then theres the family you don't want to leave and them not wanting you to go, but wanting you to chase those dreams. I'm sure there's a lot of people that will feel this one in their heart as I did. Get this album, you'll love it as I did.
