"The Girl You Left Me For" is what one ex-girlfriend wants to be in the first track. She begs him not to break her heart anymore because she's not interested in being "just friends." The message in the second song is that history is made "One Day At A Time."
"In A Heartbeat" is a slow song about how much better things would be if you had the chance to go back & change things. "You can lose someone in a heartbeat, you can lose yourself in the memory" Deana sings. A very descriptive song is "Katie," because it paints the picture of a young girl wearing a crown to a "lovely loaded gun" & then a woman that wears perfume in her hair.
You might think you are strong, but sometimes it is hard "Getting Over You" because of all the little things that hold on & linger in your mind. Once you realize that the longer you wait to move on, the harder it is to do. You have to pick yourself up & get back out there in the game of life. The last track is "The Story Of My Life," which is pretty self explanatory. Deana sings of the beginning of a woman's life & goes on to describe the way she would like it to be when she heads on to Heaven. She wants her loved ones there waving & soaking up the light.
