Clint Black - Christmas With You

The Bottom Line

“Looking For Chirstmas” was always a fine CD. While some would think that adding 2 new songs to the original CD is a bad idea, I think it was a good one, especially since the original CD is so hard to find nowadays. “Christmas With You” and “Santa’s Holiday Song” are both great additions to the neo-classics from the original CD.

Guide Review - Clint Black - Christmas With You

Of all the Christmas albums that I own, one of my favorites was Clint Black’s “Looking For Christmas” CD. It featured 10 all new compositions that sounded like the old time standards did. Clint’s newest Christmas CD isn’t all that new after all. It features the entire out of print “Looking For Christmas” CD along with two new tracks: the title track and “Santa’s Holiday Song.”

“The Finest Gift” is a Christmas love song that has Clint saying that his wife will always be the best gift he could possibly receive every Christmas. “Looking For Christmas” sounds as if it were written in the days of Martin Luther not 1996. It’s a modern classic. “Christmas For Every Boy And Girl” is a wonderful song about the true spirit of Christmas while “’Til Santa’s gone (Milk And Cookies)” is a song that describes the childhood eagerness for Christmas to arrive every year. “Christmas With You” is the first of two new songs and it’s a wonderful song about how it’s like to spend the holidays away from home. “Santa’s Holiday Song” is a cute song that features Clint’s daughter Lilly Pearl in the intro and outro of the song.

9 years after “Looking For Christmas” came out, the songs still sound as fresh and unique as they did when they first came out. That is a strong testament for how great the songs are and the two new ones added to this re-packaged CD are equally as good. If you are looking for a fun Christmas CD then look no further than Clint Black’s “Christmas With You” album.
