Guide Review - Honeybrowne - Something to Believe In
Honeybrowne is made up of four members: lead vocalist Fred Andrews, bass player Jake Bass, drummer Cody Banks, and guitar player Matt Slusher. They have a cool vibe about their music and their influences are varied. There seems to be a little rock and roll mixed in with their country music."March of Life" is about how you pave your own kind of life path and even though times can be tough, things always seem to turn around in the end. In "I'm Here," a man sees a sad woman who wants to live her life to the fullest but she's scared. He sings "I'm here to wash away your doubt. I'm here to make it all work out." "8 Roses" is an upbeat song about a man who moved from the farm to the city and he has to sell eight more roses before he can get back to the woman he loves.
"Never Forget You" is one of those songs that reminds listeners of young love that might have lasted all summer but had to come to an end. After one last night together, the couple promised to write each other every day but despite knowing already school and new friends would prevent that from happening. You can't have a good album without a breakup song and "One Heart Ain't Enough" is certainly one of those. "If you don't want my love, I'll find someone who does." Closing out the album is "Take Me Home Tonight," a song about believing in each other instead of listening to what other people say.
