Guide Review - Karen Taylor-Good - How Many Women
This CD is hard to put into a category because the songs cover so many different genres. On one hand you have the emotionally charged "On Angel's Wings," a song she wrote about her mother's battle with Alzheimer's. Then you have the fun and light hearted "Bless His Heart." This song offers lessons in the southernly way to be polite while insulting someone to their face. With lyrics like "being nice and nasty, talkin' southern is an art. And you're still single? Darlin', bless your heart."
Then you have the poppish sounding "I'm Tellin' Ellen." A song about a two-timing guy who is about to be blown out of the water by a friend of the woman he's been dating. Hey, with an opening line like "I have disliked you from the day that we met," you can see where this one is heading. Another song worth mentioning is "One Mile Apart." It's a song about being rich, and being poor, yet only living one mile apart. She records this song in English as well as Spanish. It's a well rounded CD with a little something for everyone.
