Guide Review - Sara Evans - Real Fine Place
Sara Evans has a voice that is so pure and honest, I could listen to her sing anything and be happy. With "Real Fine Place" Sara goes back to her roots, bringing a much more traditional album than she's made in recent years, yet still with the country-pop tinges that her fans love. The album starts with the bluegrassy-feeling "Coalmine," which I heard her sing live recently. This one should do well with fans that loved "Suds in the Bucket" from her previous album, 'Restless.' Another stone country offering is "Cheatin'" which is a bluesy in-your-face country tune of yesteryear, telling the story of a guy that cheated on his girl, and finds himself on his life has become a "bad dream that keeps repeating," and Sara says he should have thought about that when he was cheatin'.
I think a lot of people can relate to "New Home Town." Who doesn't want to find a place where you'll have a simple way of life?
I love "Bible Songs" too. It's another one Sara sang live, and when I heard it, I thought.. that's a hit. It reminds a bit of "Travelin' Soldier" musically. Just love it. And every mother out there will relate to "Momma's Night Out." Another one Sara sang. It talks about the mom that just left the kids with her husband and went out with her friends to have a good time. What a great fun song this is.
Sara's done it again. She's put together an album that is sure to appeal to her current fans, and win her new fans with the great music on this disc. Way to go!
