Guide Review - Blaine Larsen - Rockin' You Tonight

Every once in a while, you get one of those CD's that just makes you say WOW! Well, the latest CD from Blaine Larsen does just that. It's called 'Rockin' You Tonight,' and it lives up to the title. From start to finish, this CD is packed with one great song after another! It starts off with the first single called "I Don't Know What She Said." It's about a guy who falls for a Spanish speaking woman. He can't make sense out of what she is saying, but he loves how she says it.

He also does a superb job on his cover of the 1974 Mac Davis hit "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me." He also tackles serious topics like making a difference in your town with the song "Someone Is Me." He talks about how there is trash lying in the streets and the local baseball park is overgrown with weeds, and how "somebody should do something about it. Maybe that someone is me."

And for those who love a song with a lyrical twist, there's the song "I'm In Love With A Married Woman." You are lead to believe that the guy in the song is having an affair. Then you come to find out that the married woman he's in love with is his wife. It's a really great positive relationship song. He also duets with Gretchen Wilson in the song "Lips Of A Bottle." This is your typical "guy gets dumped and finds comfort in the bottle" kind of song. The CD ends with the song "At The Gate." It's about friends and loved ones who have left this world before him, and when he gets to heaven, who will meet him at the gate.
