Guide Review - Radney Foster - This World We Live In
Radney Foster is a master songwriter, plain and simple. Chances are if you go through a few of your albums you'll find at least one song he's written. He's written songs recorded by Sara Evans, Dixie Chicks, and even the Kinleys. Now there's a new album of his own to enjoy."Drunk On Love" finds a guy proclaiming he is "flying high on a stone-cold rush." He's suffered before at the hands of the God of Tequila & he's been before the porcelain throne but he's never felt like this before. "Sweet and Wild" is how Radney describes the love of a special lady in the second song. The upbeat tempo of "Big Idea" alone would be enough to make this my favorite song but the lyrics are just as fun. "Hey darlin' I wanna make things perfectly clear. Now if we could put our heads together we could change the world forever."
"Half Of My Mistakes" is the first single from the album & is about a man who realizes how he has handles certain decisions in life. "I Won't Lie To You" is what the man promises because he can't live without the love she gives. Another upbeat song is "Prove Me Right." A love that wasn't right from the beginning is the subject of "Fools That Dream." Kim Richey sings background vocals. Not being scared to risk it all is the main message in "Never Gonna Fly." You won't become successful in life if you never try so don't give up before you start.
