Bottom Line:

Three Wooden Crosses is a 17 track CD released by Word Records. It is filled with songs of hope and encouragement. The songs on this CD are all country favorites that you know and love from over the past 20 years. From Randy Travis to Craig Morgan to Josh Turner to Rascal Flatts, this CD is packed with hit after hit!

Where To Start?

Three Wooden Crosses is a 17 track CD from Word Records that is filled with songs of faith, family, hope and encouragement. The CD takes its title from the first track on the disk. The 2002 hit single from Randy Travis of the same name called "Three Wooden Crosses." The songs on this CD span about 15 years of recorded music. With gospel oriented favorites, like the 1994 release by Vince Gill called "Go Rest High On That Mountain," from the album When Love Finds You. The 2003 hit from Josh Turner called "Long Black Train," and Amy Grant's "Carry You" from her CD entitled Rock Of Ages. The oldest song in this collection is the very popular 1991 hit from the Judds called "Love Can Build A Bridge." And then there is the highly emotional hit from Tim McGraw called "Live Like You Were Dying."

Other Songs Worth Mentioning

The CD also includes the very emotional song by John Michael Montgomery called "The Little Girl." It's a song about a little girl who grows up in a household where mom does drugs and dad is an alcoholic. Then one night while hiding behind the couch, the little girl sees her dad kill her mom, then kill himself. It's a very powerful song! But then if you want that slice of life in the south, you'll love the song by Craig Morgan called "That's What I Love About Sunday." If you love the care free, laid back lifestyle of just taking life as it happens, this song will make you want to pack up and head south. Sitting next to the one you love on a porch swing, stealing a kiss as the sun is setting, going fishing, playing backyard football. Does it get any better than this? Another fantastic song that has a great message is the Sawyer Brown hit from 2005 called "They Don't Understand." It talks about being patient with strangers because you may not fully understand the circumstances that they are going through in their life at that time. There's not really much more to tell. It's a really good collection of some very powerful songs, each with their own message.
