Bottom Line:Back Up Again is an album covering the highs, lows, and in-betweens of relationships as told by Brian McComas. Out of the eleven tracks, ten are either written or co-written by Brian. The only song that isn't is "Wake Up Little Susie." It is Brian McComas' second album and was also produced by him.
"Back Up Again" is about a man who was "down for the count" when a woman left him, but when he finally got back up and bounced back he realized he was stronger than before. "Now everything you told me and all the plans we made, are memories I just try to chase away." There's a whole lotta doubting going on in "I'll Believe It When I See It." The man has a right to wonder if the other person in the relationship can bring things to the table because often times they'll say one thing and do the complete opposite. Lying to other people comes easily to the man in "Off My Mind," but the only person he can't fool is himself. He can't stop thinking about the girl who is gone and how he should have listened to her in the first place when she said they were growing apart. "Good, Good Lovin'" is the complete opposite of the previous song. This man is in such a happy place with the woman he loves he can't get enough of her.

"All Comes Floodin' Down" is such a nice song written solely by Brian. It is something you'll have to listen to in order to appreciate it. The lyrics might take on different meanings to different people. Another song written by Brian is
"It'll Be Alright." In
"That Won't Ever Change," Brian sings about always being there for her.
"I just want to be a hand to pull through what life might bring." When you love someone you don't ask questions - you just do what you can to help them. Up next is a cover of the Everly Brothers'
"Wake Up Little Susie." I really like Brian's version because it's full of energy and it hasn't been changed so much you barely recognize the song. There's no hope for the man in
"Too Far Gone." Whatever tricks people used in the past aren't going to help now. He wants to be left alone. Last song,
"Addicted To You," is about someone who used to be his own man, but when she came into his life he become a different person. He knows he needs to tear himself away from her because she's bad news, but she's "running through his veins" and he keeps coming back for her pain.
