Guide Review - Chris Young - An Acoustic Country Christmas With Chris Young
When they told me Chris was working on this album, I knew I had to have it. Not only does Chris have an awesome talent for singing, writing and all that goes with being a Superstar, he has an incredible manner about him. He is very professional and knows what he wants and is going after it, and I admire him for that. With this holiday keepsake in my CD player all the time, I'm ready for Christmas. Bring it on!!!You think that anyone can sing "The Christmas Song" and just about everyone has. But wait until you hear Chris sing it. He put his own touch to it and makes it his very own. Since this album only has 5 tracks on it, it's hard to name a favorite, because they are all wonderfully done. But if had to pick one I'd say that "A Star" is my favorite. An original Christmas song by Chris Gray that talks about what an honor it would be to be chosen to be the Star of Bethlehem, shining bright to guide shepherds. And help announce the birth of the holy child. A touching song, I cried the first time I played it.
With the up beat tune of "Have A Holly Jolly Christmas" this album really puts you in the mood for the holiday season ahead. This is a true country Christmas album and one I think should be added to everyone's Christmas Collection. I for one will have a hard time keeping it with all my other Christmas albums tucked away after Christmas has come and gone. Chris has really out done himself on this one. Thanks again for the early Christmas present Chris, I love it!!!
