Guide Review - Rhonda Vincent and the Rage - Ragin' Live
After riding the "Kentucky Borderline" and listening to "Drivin' Nails In My Coffin," Rhonda treats us with a beautifully performed song entitled "Missouri Moon." The emotion and hurt Rhonda lets out in this one song is spectacular and is why it is a favorite of mine. Hunter Berry is introduced right before breaking into an upbeat instrumental called "Me Too."
Mickey Harris sings "Heartbreakin' Old Achin' Blues," a song that was written about having to travel to various places, then the legendary Ken Ingram busts out a little bluegrass "Road Rage." "You Can't Take It With You When You Go" is another beautiful song from Rhonda. Her voice is so wonderful I could listen to her sing anything. Next, Rhonda and The Rage go gospel on "So Happy I'll Be." "Homecoming" is another song with a spiritual connection.
"Frankie Bell" is the second instrumental and provides a nice break in between songs with vocals. If you want fast pickin' you'll want to listen to "Bluegrass Express." If you thought it was fast on 'One Step Ahead,' just wait until you hear this version. Don't think the pickin' is over because an equally fast "Muleskinner Blues" is played just after Rhonda says goodbye.
