Guide Review - Carrie Underwood - 'Some Hearts'
The opening track "Wasted" is a mid tempo song that really sets the mood on this album. The song shows off the soaring range of Carrie's vocals perfectly.
There are a few songs a little more pop, like the title track "Some Hearts," but it still has a great beat and shows off the talent Carrie has in her soul.
Her first single "Jesus Take The Wheel" is my ultimate favorite on the album. It touched my heart. When I first heard it on radio, I had tears in my eyes. Maybe because I've felt that way in my life a few times.
"Lessons Learned" shows her amazing voice and the ability she has to carry a perfect tune. I love the words in it that say: "I'm thankful for every break in my heart." Now that pretty much sums up the title of that song, doesn't it?
Another favorite is "Before He Cheats." Man, this girl has vocals that really soar, and I love the growl in her voice in this one; a definite hit.
