Guide Review - Mel McDaniel - Reloaded Tried, True and New
Mel's voice has a few rough edges that come with living, but it is the voice of experience. One of the 'true' songs would probably be "Help Me Make it Through the Night," which was covered beautifully. And as for the 'new' portion of the CD, Mel doesnt disappoint there either. His humor comes through in fun songs like "Doo Ma Flatchey," where he swears off girls after a bad experience and delves into work and trucks but then she flips the switch on his doo ma flatchey and turns him on. With "Plastic Girl" it is all about finding the perfect woman he can get along with. She came in a little box in the mail and all he had to do was blow her up and she happily shares all his interests with no complaining. Overall, it is a really good CD and it is great to have new music from Mel McDaniel.
