Guide Review - Reba McEntire - Number Ones
Reba is unquestionably one of the icons of country music today, a true living legend. She has a voice recognized by music lovers everywhere, and an incredibly infectious personality. Her love of theatrics has made her very successful in movies and Broadway as well as having a very successful television series. Anything Reba has set out to do, she has given it her all and been a success. I've been a fan since the late 70's when I heard this incredible voice on the airwaves. She has spent over three decades as a radio staple, and she is still making number one hits. Nostalgia takes over when listening to this CD as many of the songs were during my high school years. Then there are the years when my kids were small, and the songs that were heard while being lucky enough to be sitting in the audience at one of Reba's incredible concerts."Little Rock," "Whoever's In New England" and "Can't Even Get the Blues" were some of the first songs that I really remember hearing when I think back. "Cathy's Clown" was a new musical direction for country radio at the time, but it still went number one. "The Heart Won't Lie" with Vince Gill, "Does He Love You" with Linda Davis and "If You See Him, If You See Her" with Brooks and Dunn are a sampling of the many successful duets she's done over the years. "I'm A Survivor" is like a theme song for her life as well as the theme song for her self-titled TV show. This is just a terrific collection that you can't go wrong with.
