Guide Review - Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2
Since 1994, Tim McGraw has been a mainstay on the country music charts as well as country TV and radio. And his Greatest Hits Volume 2 picks up where the 2000 Greatest Hits 1 collection left off, and bests it by one track. He's racked up several more hits over the past six years, and many of them are represented here along with 4 new tracks. The CD starts off with the very popular and emotionally charged "Live Like You Were Dying." Also included is his latest highly successful duet with his wife Faith Hill entitled "Like We Never Loved At All." The oldest hit in this collection is the title track from his 1994 debut CD called "Not A Moment Too Soon."
Other hits in this collection worth mentioning are, "The Cowboy In Me," "Real Good Man," "She's My Kind Of Rain," "Grown Men Don't Cry," "Watch the Wind Blow By," "Everywhere" and "Red Ragtop."
There are also four new tracks included on this greatest hits collection. The new songs are, "When the Stars Go Blue," "Beautiful People" and "My Little Girl" (from the motion picture My Friend Flicka). The CD closes with the forth and final new track where Tim sings that - I may not know what it's like, but "I've Got Friends That Do." It would have been nice to see a few more hits like "Angry All The Time," "She Can't Really Be Gone," and "Do You Want Fries With That?" included in this collection instead of so many new tracks. But over all, this is a solid offering from one of today's top country male vocalists. 16 tracks in all.
