Guide Review - Hayley Oliver - Two Hearts

Hayley Oliver is a rising star in England, and her voice is pure country music all the way. Her ability to take any song and make it hers is just amazing. Her true talent is in the way she can emotionally charge a song to make you feel like you are in it. Were it not for the wonders of the Internet, I would not have found this musical treasure. She has been performing onstage since the age of 11, and after entering, and winning, Joe Pasquale's "Curtain Call" talent showcase in 2002 she has been on the road to her dream with continued concert appearances throughout England. I’m hoping there is a US tour in her future as she is one of the best female voices I’ve ever heard.

The title track, “Two Hearts Dancing As One” is a poignant love song that takes you through 60 years of happiness, hope and love with two hearts that dance as one. She does a great job with the Tammy Wynette hit, “Take Me To Your World.” And one of my favorite songs has always been Emmylou Harris singing “You Never Can Tell.” It isn’t an easy song to cover well, but Hayley flies through it like it was hers originally. She also does “The Song Remembers When” from Trisha Yearwood, and Loretta Lynn’s “Blue Kentucky Girl” among other traditional country tunes that bring back fond memories. All of the covers are done very well. The album is available from her website and there are also links there to her music. It is well worth the effort to go check out this incredible lady.
