Guide Review - The Wreckers - Stand Still, Look Pretty
Their first single "Leave The Pieces" written by Jennifer Hanson and Billy Austin tells the story of a woman breaking off the relationship with the man in her life who just can't seem to commit. With the opening lyrics "You're not sure that you love me, But you're not sure enough to let me go." She tells him in no uncertain terms to "Just take your love and hit the road."
Other songs worth mentioning are, "The Good Kind" written by Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp. Another tortured love song where Michelle Branch sings "Do you want to run away together? I would say it was your best line ever. Too bad I fell for it." And the song "My, Oh My" sounds like a song The Judds could have, or should have recorded back in the '80s. There is also a special Limited Edition CD and DVD with a music video, Behind-the-Scenes Footage & an Exclusive Bonus Track. I can honestly say that if you like their first hit single, you will love the whole CD. The style of songs is very consistent throughout the entire CD. Over all, 'Stand Still, Look Pretty' is a very smooth and enjoyable listen from start to finish.
