Country Music Single Releases - What to listen for on Country Radio

Week of March 6, 2006

What's Up With That - Scotty Emerick
You know, I've never understood why Scotty's previous singles didn't really do much on country radio. I love the sound of this one. Reminds me of something George Strait would sing. Let's hope this one will go right to the top. This is a perfect two-steppin' song.

Ain't What It Used To Be - Megan Mullins
Megan is Broken Bow's lone female act, and this is her debut single. She just performed at the Country Radio Seminar, and Jolene interviewed her, and both Jo and Sue watched her and the rest of the Broken Bow artists perform, and they both have great things to say about her. This is a great upbeat tune, and I can see Megan soon hanging in the same Top 10 area of the charts that her male labelmates Craig Morgan and Jason Aldean inhabit. Let's hear it for the girl!

Satisfied - Ashley Monroe
Ashley is on Columbia Nashville. She's got a real bluesy voice that reminds me a bit of Lee Ann Womack. If you like a little blues mixed into your country, keep an ear out for this.
