"Summertime" - Kenny Chesney
Kenny Chesney, like Tim McGraw really knows how to pick songs. This upbeat song is a perfect song to bring you into a Summertime mode. Too bad it's still freezing outside right now. Makes you almost forget how cold it is, and really start thinking of sandy beaches and all that summer entails. Should hit No. 1 when the weather starts hitting 80 degrees in most places. :)
"Don't Forget To Remember Me" - Carrie Underwood
This touching song has been on the charts for a couple weeks already. It talks about a young girl leaving home, and how her mom tells her not to forget her. Something many people can relate with, whether from the point of the child leaving home, or the parent trying hard not to cry as your baby leaves the nest. Another big hit for Carrie.
"This Time Around" - Cross Canadian Ragweed
Another great country rock tune from Cross Canadian Ragweed. She dumped him, but now she wants him back, but he'snot having any of it. He sings "I'm gonna break these chains around my broken heart. You could have had it once, but you tore it all apart." I'm not really familiar with a lot of Cross Canadian Ragweed's music, but just listening, I can see why they've toured with Dierks. Good match in type of music.
"Leave The Pieces" - Wreckers
This duo consists of former pop artist Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp. This tune reminds me of the Dixie Chicks, sound wise. I really like it. This is an mid-tempo tune with lots of fiddle and great harmonies.
"The Hole In Willie's Guitar" - Memarie
This is another country rocker. Memarie has a really nice voice, and this is a pretty cool song.
