Blake Shelton claims the week's top country single with "Over" from Red River Blue. The record was released just over a year ago, but it's still pumping out hits. "Over" is the fourth straight #1 country song from the album ("Honey Bee," "God Gave Me You," and "Drink on It" are the others). After stalling at #5 last week, Little Big Town's "Pontoon" moved up two spots to rest at #3. Josh Turner fought his way into the top 5 with his new single "Time Is Love," currently at #4. In contrast, Love and Theft lost ground, stepping back to #2 with "Angel Eyes." Ah, yes, but this is all preamble for the big news (at least as far as record industry people go): Taylor Swift is back. Her new single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," made its debut at #13 on the country charts. It's not staying there for long.

Taylor Swift is the week's big gainer on the radio, hop-, skip-, and jump-ing from #25 to #14 with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." That matches the song's position on the country singles chart, no small feat indeed. Blake Shelton's "Over" is below her -- albeit at a strong #20. Like Swift, Little Big Town made consider headway with radio listeners; the group's boat ditty "Pontoon" sailed up six slots to set anchor at #21.
