Hot New Country Songs

Hunter Hayes's "Wanted" takes the top spot this week, but it's not the first time. The song first held the #1 position way back in September. Coming up second best is The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two" while Tim McGraw's "One of Those Nights" pushes up from #7 to #3. Impressive? Maybe. But it's nothing compared to the big gains made by Lady Antebellum's "Downtown," which rocketed up from #34 to #6. Or, while we're at it, the #13 debut of the Tim McGraw-Taylor Swift combo "Highway Don't Care." Sorry, McGraw. It's just one of those weeks.

Hot New Country Albums

  • #1Tim McGraw - Two Lanes of Freedom

If Tim McGraw couldn't claim ultimate honors on the country singles chart, that wasn't the case on this week's album rankings. In its first week of release, Two Lanes of Freedom took the #1 spot. Taylor Swift continues to cruise at #2 with Red and Gary Allan's Set You Free rounds out the top 3, after topping the charts last week. Florida Georgia Line's Here's to the Good Times dips down one slot to #4. Meanwhile, Hunter Hayes, who is nominated for best male artist at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, seems to being gaining momentum. His self-titled debut revved up from #7 to #5.
