Hunter Hayes's "Wanted" remains at the top spot on this week's country songs chart. But the ACM-nominated singer had better watch out for Blake Shelton, whose "Sure Be Cool If You Did" is fast rising up the charts, moving from #4 to #2. Also stomping on the gas pedal is Carrie Underwood, whose bad-girl tune "Two Black Cadillacs" rose from #8 to #4. Her other single, "Blown Away," is doing none too shabby either; it madet the jump from #19 to #10. And if you thought you'd seen the last of Taylor Swift, think again. The country-pop chanteuse has two songs -- "Begin Again" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" -- which are among the week's big chart movers.

Comments

Speak of the devil, and the devil appears. The devil in this case is Taylor Swift. Her new album Red returns to the top spot among country albums after some touch-and-go competition from new albums by Gary Allan and Tim McGraw. Seventy-one weeks into its release, Hunter Hayes's debut is still performing in the top tier, at #3, two spots above last week. His new Live EP is also performing well -- skyrocketing from #62 to #30. Likewise the Grammy-nominated Time Jumpers had a good week, leaping from #54-#38.
