Comments

This week, Dierks Bentley's "5-1-5-0" becomes the singer's third #1 country single from Home. But he'd better watch out for Kenny Chesney and Gloriana, who are close on his heels. They advanced one slot each, filling out the top three country singles in the US. Losing momentum was the Eli Young Band, whose ballad "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," fell from #1 to #4. That wasn't the case with Love and Theft. Their duo's single "Angel Eyes" ascended from #7 and into the bottom tier of the top 5.

The winner's circle remains unchanged from where you left it last week: Zac Brown Band's Uncaged at #1, Kenny Chesney's Welcome to the Fishbowl at #2, and Luke Bryan's Tailgates & Tanlines at #3. The lone newbie is the Old Crow Medicine Show's Carry Me Back which debuted at #4. Experiencing a second wind is Carrie Underwood's Blown Away; it pressed from #7 to #5, knocking Eric Church off his roost. In its second week of release, Hank Williams, Jr.'s latest collection, Old School New Rules, fell from #4 to #8.

Kenny Chesney's "Come Over" is the top-ranking country song on the radio at #18. But Dierks Bentley wasn't far off, with "5-1-5-0" checking in at #19. While Gloriana advance one spot to #21 with "(Kiss You) Good Night" -- and Love and Theft move ahead four spaces with "Angel Eyes" -- it was a long fall for the Eli Young Band as "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" plummeted from #17 to #25. Still bouyant is Little Big Town's summertime song "Pontoon," which continues to demand airplay, floating from #59 to #46 this week.
