Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, and Carrie Underwood maintain their holding pattern on the top 3. No big surprise there. Switching things up is Luke Bryan's "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye," which hits a best-of #4 in its 18th week of release. The love song's surge pushed Hunter Hayes's "Wanted" down one spot to #5. The news further down the top 10 is more positive -- at least for the artists involved. Rascal Flatts' second single from Changed, "Come Wake Me Up," puts in an appearance at #9 (up from #11), and Justin Moore's 35-month-old "Til My Last Day" pokes in its head at #10 (up from #15). Hoo-ah!

Hot New Country Albums

  • #64 Various Artists - Country Christmas: 10 Great Songs

Comments

Even though it's not yet Thanksgiving, it appears Christmas albums are in season. Making a return appearance to the top 5, after a brief sojourn to the lower tier of the top 10, are Lady's Antebellum's Own the Night and Blake Shelton's Cheers, It's Christmas. Heck, even Scotty McCreery's yuletide collection jumped from #9 to an entirely more festive #6. A world away from that merry revelry is Toby Keith, whose new album Hope on the Rock plunged to #7. Hellfire! Oh yeah. And Taylor Swift is still #1 and Jason Aldean is second best. But you knew that already.

Hot New Radio Country Songs

  • None this week!

Comments

Taylor Swift lost some traction on the radio this week, slipping to #5. The singer's #3 position for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was eclipsed by Rihanna's "Diamonds," which took her place, and Ne-Yo's "Let Me Love You," at #4. At the same time, Luke Bryan's "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" matched its gains on the country singles charts -- sliding three points UP to #16. Jake Owen also pulled a fast one -- jumping from #25 to #20 with "The One That Got Away." How 'bout 'ol Lee Brice? His tune "Hard to Love" fell to #29 while Miranda Lambert's "Fastest Girl in Town" (at #26) and Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" (at #28) picking up the figurative slack.
