Top 10 Country Singles
Billy Currington holds onto the top spot for a second week with "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right.". George Strait remains at No. 2 with "She Let Herself Go", followed by Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take The Wheel," followed by Garth Brooks' "Good Ride Cowboy." Dierks Bentley is next with "Come A Little Closer" at No. 5. Trace Adkins moves up two to No. 6 with "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", while Joe Nichols' "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" drops one to No. 7. Kenny Chesney's "Who You'd Be Today" also drops one, while Little Big Town's "Boondocks." moves up one to No. 9 this week. Sitting at No. 10 is Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's "Like We Never Loved At All". I think George Strait will move up to the top of the charts next week, giving him his 52nd No. 1 song.

Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Due to the time of the year, not a lot of songs are zooming up the charts, however Kenny Chesney's Livin' In Fast Forward" bucks the trend moving up nine spots from No. 41 to No. 32 this week. Steve Azar's "Catfish Christmas" also moves up seven this week from No. 60 to No. 53.

The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
We have four new songs this week. The first is Rascal Flatts new single from their upcoming album, due out in April. It's called "What Hurts the Most," and it debuts at No. 33 this week. Keith Anderson releases what I think will be his first No. 1 song. I just love this song. It's called "Every Time I Hear Your Name," and it debuts at No. 49. Josh Gracin has the last two new songs, both of which are Christmas tunes. "Please Come Home For Christmas" debuts at No. 51, and "O Holy Night" debuts at No. 59.

Top 10 Country Album Charts
There's not much changing on the album charts this week. Carrie Underwood remains at No. 1 with Some Hearts, selling 401,000 units last week, and bringing her total up to 1.5 million sold. She's the biggest selling artist among all the Idol contestants. She's followed by Kenny Chesney's The Road & The Radio, Johnny Cash's The Legend Of Jonny Cash, and Rascal Flatts' Feels Like Today at No. 4. Faith Hill moves up two spots to No. 5 with Fireflies, and Trace Adkins moves up three spots with Songs About Me. Reba McEntire's Reba: #1s moves from No. 10 to No. 7, while Keith Urban remains at No. 8 with Be Here. Martina McBride's Timeless drops four spots to No. 9, and Big & Rich'sComin' To Your City also drops four to No. 10.

Albums Re-entering the Charts
Three albums re-entered the charts this week: Dwight Yoakam's The Very Best of Dwight Yoakam at No. 70, Chris LeDoux's Anthology, Vol. 1 at No. 73, and Terri Clark's Greatest Hits 1994-2004 at No. 74.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for January 7, 2006.
