Top 10 Country Singles
This week, Carrie Underwood adds another feather in her cap. Not only has she sold over 2 million copies of her album, but her debut single, "Jesus, Take The Wheel," is now the No.1 song in the land. George Strait drops to No. 2 this week, with "She Let Herself Go". I am going to guess that Carrie will hold onto the No. 1 spot, but George's song is actually gaining spins as well, so I wouldn't be too surprised to maybe see it move back to No. 1 again, possibly in 2 weeks. At No. 3 is Billy Currington's "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," followed by Trace Adkins' "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," which moves up one, and Garth Brooks' "Good Ride Cowboy," which drops one spot to No. 5. Dierks Bentley remains at No. 6 with "Come A Little Closer," while Brad Paisley moves up one with "When I Get Where I'm Going." Tim McGraw enters the Top 10 this week at No. 8, moving up three spots with "My Old Friend." Little Big Town remains at No. 9 with "Boondocks," and Joe Nichols falls three to No. 10 with "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off."

Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Well, this week, there isn't much that I'd call moving up at the speed of light, but Jeff Bates' "No Shame" has the top honors as the song that moved up the most; a modest four spot move from No. 58 to No. 54. This is a fabulous song, and I really hope it does well for him. There are three songs that moved up three spots; "What Hurts The Most," from Rascal Flatts (from No. 30 - No. 27), "I Got You" from Craig Morgan (from No. 43 to No. 40), and Keith Anderson's "Everytime I Hear Your Name," (from No. 46 to No. 43).

The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Rodney Atkins is back with a great new song called "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" which debuts at No. 53 this week, and Gary Allan releases his second single from his Tough All Over cd, called Life Ain't Always Beautiful," which debuts at No. 58.

Top 10 Country Album Charts
Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts remains in the No. 1 spot on the Country Album Charts this week, followed once more by The Legend Of Johnny Cash. Rascal Flatts move up one more spot with Feels Like Today, while Kenny Chesney's The Road & The Radio drops one spot to No. 4. Trace Adkins moves to No. 5 with Songs About Me, while Faith Hill's Fireflies drops one place to No. 6. Keith Urban moves up one to No. 7 with Be Here, while Sugarland drops one to No. 8 with Twice the Speed of Life. Reba McEntire's Reba: #1s stays at No. 9, and the Walk the Line soundtrack moves up two spots to complete the Top 10.

Albums Re-entering the Charts
Kenny Rogers 42 Ultimate Hits re-enters the charts this week at No. 69.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for January 21, 2006.
