Top 10 Country Singles
We have a new No. 1 song, and it's also the first No. 1 song for the artist. Who is it? Josh Gracin. This week his song, "Nothin' to Lose" tops the charts, making him one happy guy. Congrats Josh! Next week I expect another happy guy to be receiving his first No. 1 song. That would be Craig Morgan, who sits at No. 2 this week with "That's What I Love About Sunday." Rascal Flatts "Bless the Broken Road" falls to No. 3 this week from the top spot last week. At No. 4, moving up one spot is Atlanta band Sugarland with "Baby Girl." Kenny Chesney moves up two spots this week to No. 5 with "Anything But Mine." (Our best wishes for a fast recovery from his ankle injury!) Brooks & Dunn move up two spots to No. 6 this week with "It's Getting Better All the Time." Keith Urban's "You're My Better Half" falls four spots to No. 7. At No. 8 is Montgomery Gentry with "Gone," which they recently performed on the second episode of Nashville Star. Brad Paisley drops three to No. 9 with his former No. 1, "Mud on the Tires," while Billy Dean holds onto No. 10 with "Let Them Be Little." Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Darryl Worley holds the fastest-rising song for a second week, as "If Something Should Happen" moves from moves from No. 42 to No. 31 this week. Way to climb the charts, Darryl! Pat Green's "Baby Doll" is again in the No. 2 spot, as far as fastest-rising songs. The song moves up ten spots from No. 48 to No. 38 this week. But Pat isn't alone there as George Canyon's "My Name" also moves up ten spots, from No. 54 to No. 44. George Canyon's fellow Nashville Star alumnus Buddy Jewell's "If She Were Any Other Woman" is the third fastest rising tune this week, moving from No. 44 to No. 36 this week.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Brian McComas releases a new song this week called "The Middle of Nowhere." It debuts at No. 48. Keith Urban debuts "Making Memories of Us" at No. 55 this week. Reba's latest, "My Sister" debuts at No. 58. Katrina Elam debuts "I Want a Cowboy" at No. 59, and at No. 60, new DreamWorks group Hot Apple Pie debuts with "Hillbillies."
Top 10 Country Album Charts
On the Albums charts, Rascal Flatts remain at No. 1 this week with Feels Like Today. The Totally Country 4 compilation remains at No. 2 this week. Gretchen Wilson's Here For The Party moves up two spots to No. 3 this week. Kenny Chesney's Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair remains at No. 4, while Shania Twain drops two spots to No. 5 with her Greatest Hits album. Jamie O'Neal debuts at No. 6 with Brave. Tim McGraw remains at No. 7 with Live Like You Were Dyin', while Lee Ann Womack drops two spots to No. 8 with her latest, There's More Where That Came From. Dropping one to No. 9 is Toby Keith's Greatest Hits 2, and dropping one to No. 10 is George Strait's 50 Number Ones.
New Album Releases
Other than Jamie O'Neal, the only other new album this week is from Shooter Jennings, who debuts with Put the O Back in Country at No. 29.
