On the Charts - Billboards Country Singles and Albums

Top 10 Country Singles
Jo Dee Messina's "My Give a Damn's Busted" remains on top of the singles charts for another week, and her album Delicious Surprise also holds onto the top of the albums chart this week. Gretchen Wilson remains at No. 2, poised to take over the top of the charts next week with "Homewrecker." Moving up six spots is Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us," while Joe Nichols moves up three with "What's a Guy Gotta Do." Andy Griggs parks at No. 5 for a second week with "If Heaven," while Trace Adkins (whom I just saw in concert this week) moves up two with "Songs About Me." Dierks Bentley moves up four to No. 7, with "Lotta Leavin' Left to Do" this week, while Craig Morgan drops five with "That's What I Love About Sunday." Kenny Chesney's "Anything But Mine," drops three to No. 9, while Brooks & Dunn's "It's Getting Better All the Time" drops six to round out the Top 10.

Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Rebecca Lynn Howard holds this week's top gainer, moving up eight spots from No. 56 to No. 48 with "No One'll Ever Love Me." Sara Evans' "A Real Fine Place To Start" moves up seven spots, from No. 48 to No. 41. Brad Paisley's "Alcohol" and Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us" each move up six spots. Brad, from No. 41 to No. 35, and Keith, from No. 9 to No. 3.

The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Toby Keith releases a second single from his Honky Tonk University cd this week, called "As Good As I Once Was," debuting at No. 37. Shania Twain releases a fun Western Swing tune called "I Ain't No Quitter," which debuts at No. 55. At No. 56 is Montgomery Gentry's "Something to Be Proud Of," and Craig Morgan debuts at No. 57 with "Redneck Yacht Club."

Top 10 Country Album Charts
On the album charts, as mentioned above, Jo Dee has dethroned Larry the Cable Guy's The Right to Bare Arms, which moves to No. 2 this week. Keith Urban remains at No. 3 with Be Here, while Rascal Flatts drop two places to No. 4 with Feels Like Today. Buddy Jewell debuts his sophomore album, Times Like These at No. 5 this week. Gretchen Wilson drops two spots to No. 6 with Here For The Party. Sugarland also drops two spots to No. 7 with Twice the Speed of Life, while Kenny Chesney remains at No. 8 with When The Sun Goes Down. The Totally Country 4 sits at No. 9, while Kenny Chesney has a second place on the Top 10, coming in at No. 10 with Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair.

New Album Releases
Keith Anderson debuts at No. 13 this week with his [http://erclk.about.com/?zi=1/eY%5b]Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll[/link] Shelly Fairchild's Ride debuts at No. 31, while Billy Gilman's latest, Everything and More debuts at No. 39, and The Wrights Down This Road debuts at No. 71.
