Live Like You Were Dying - Tim McGraw

Live Like You Were Dying - Tim McGraw

This week is Terri Clark's week, as her song "Girls Lie Too" leapfrogs four spots to claim the No. 1 spot. Congrats Terri! It's been a while since we've had a woman at the top of the charts, and I'm happy for Terri that she was the one who claimed it. At No. 2 is Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" which after seven weeks at the top starts moving down the charts. Still at No. 3 this week is Keith Urban's "Days Go By," which has a bullet and is the song I'm betting on for No. 1 next week. At No. 4, moving down two spots is Kenny Chesney's "I Go Back." Coming in at No. 5 is Andy Griggs with "She Thinks She Needs Me." It's been a while since Andy's had a Top 5. His last Top 5 single came in May of 2000, with "She's More," which peaked at No. 2. Welcome back Andy. Stay a while. His song still has a bullet, so it just may do that.

This week's fastest rising song is Kenny Chesney's "The Woman With You," which moves up an amazing 20 spots from No. 54 to No. 34. LeAnn Rimes "Nothin 'Bout Love Makes Sense," off her upcoming This Woman CD moves up 13 spots from No. 50 to No. 39. Reba's "He Gets That From Me" moves up 11 spots in its second week on the charts from No. 57 to No. 44.

Travis Tritt releases a second single, "What Say You," a duet with John Mellencemp, from his new Honky Tonk History CD. The song debuts at No. 50. At No. 51 is Billy Dean's "Let Them Be Little." The song was co-written by Dean along with Lonestar's Richie McDonald, and can also be found on Lonestar's latest CD, Let's Be Us Again. Brad Cotter releases his second single from Patient Man called "Can't Tell Me Nothin'." The song debuts at No. 59. Debuting at No. 60 is American Idol's Josh Gracin with his second single "Nothin' To Lose." This is of his self-titled album.

On the album side of things, Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dyin'" sits at the top of the charts, moving up from No. 54 last week. At No. 2 is Big & Rich's Horse of a Different Color, moving down from No. 1 last week. At No. 3 is Jimmy Buffet's License to Chill, also moving down one spot. Gretchen Wilson drops one to No. 4 with Here For The Party, and Brad Paisley's Mud on the Tires follows the trend, dropping one from last week, to No. 5.

The new albums this week are: Steve Earle's The Revolution Starts...Now, which debuts at No. 12. Cledus T. Judd's Bipolar And Proud debuts at No. 15. Conway Twitty's 25 Number Ones debuts at No. 30. The Isaacs Heroes debuts at No. 45, and Roy D. Mercer's Get Well Soon debuts at No. 52.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for September 11, 2004.
