Top 10 Country Singles
Montgomery Gentry has "Something To Be Proud Of" as they claim the No. 1 spot, knocking Sara Evans' "A Real Fine Place To Start" down to No. 2. For the second week Craig Morgan sits in the No. 3 spot with "Redneck Yacht Club." Also remaining in the same spots are Keith Urban with No. 4's "Better Life" and Jamie O'Neal's "Somebody's Hero" at No. 5. Moving up a single spot is "Stay With Me (Brass Bed)" by Josh Gracin, landing on No. 6. Toby Keith drops to No. 7 with "As Good As I Once Was." Gretchen Wilson stays at No. 8 with "All Jacked Up" and LeAnn Rimes also remains in the same spot with No. 9's "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way." Rascal Flatts makes an impressive six spot jump with "Skin (Sarabeth)" landing on No. 10. Montgomery Gentry should old on to No. 1 for a second week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are several artists jumping six places with their songs this week: Toby Keith's "Big Blue Note" made it to No. 21, Neal McCoy hit No. 14 with "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On," and Rascal Flatts' "Skin (Sarabeth)" hit No. 10. Sugarland's "Just Might (Make Me Believe)" jumped seven spots to No. 39, but it was Kenny Chesney with the biggest leap. He landed eight spots higher than last week with "Who You'd Be Today" at No. 18.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Four new songs hit the charts for the first time this week: Van Zant's latest, "Nobody Gonna Tell Me What To Do," at No. 59, Gretchen Wilson (Featuring Merle Haggard) at No. 58 with "Politically Uncorrect," "My Old Friend," by Tim McGraw (No. 55), and the hot shot Brad Paisley with No. 50's "When I Get Where I'm Going."
Top 10 Country Album Charts
Trisha Yearwood stays at No. 1 with her album, Jasper County, while Rascal Flatts hold on to their No. 2 spot with Feels Like Today. Five spots better than last week is Sugarland with their No. 3 album, Twice the Speed of Life. Faith Hill jumped a single spot to No. 4 with Fireflies and Keith Urban's Be Here jumped two spots to No. 5. Brad Paisley's Time Well Wasted hit No. 6 again, while Brooks & Dunn drop three spots to No. 7 with Hillbilly Deluxe. Honkytonk University, by Toby Keith, jumped one spot to No. 8, Gretchen Wilson moves back into the Top 10 with No. 9's Here For The Party, and Jason Aldean's self-titled album rounds out the Top 10 for the second week in a row.
Re-Entering The Charts
Phil Vassar's Shaken Not Stirred re-enters the charts at No. 75 and Conway Twitty's 25 Number Ones does one better at No. 74. It's been a few weeks since Billy Currington's self-titled album graced the charts but he's back, making it to No. 73. Kenny Rogers' 42 Ultimate Hits did the best by hitting No. 72.
