Be Here - Keith Urban

Keith Urban's "Days Go By" stays at the top of the country singles charts for a fourth straight week. At the same time, his album, Be Here tops the Country Albums chart, with 148,043 copies sold in the first week. At No. 2 on the singles charts this week is Sara Evans' "Suds in the Bucket," remaining in that spot from last week. She seems poised to take over the top next week, and I think she will. At No. 3 is George Strait's "I Hate Everything," moving up one from last week. Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" peaked last week at No. 3 and is at No. 4 this week, and moving down. At No. 5 is Alan Jackson's "Too Much of a Good Thing."

Tim McGraw's "Back When" and Big & Rich's "Holy Water" tie for this week's fastest rising single, both moving up 14 spots. Tim's song moves from No. 45 to No. 31, while Big & Rich's song moves from No. 51 to No. 37. Nothing else even comes close to that kind of movement. Way to go guys!

We have new music this week from Tracy Lawrence, who debuts at No. 56 with "Dust on Her Halo." Bret Michaels, who some may remember from the 80's "hair band" Poison is now singing country, and his debut single is "All I Ever Need," charting at No. 57. Jamie O'Neal, now with Capitol Nashville debuts with "Trying To Find Atlantis" at No. 60 this week.

On the album charts, as mentioned above, Keith Urban's Be Here tops the charts. Tim McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying. moves down one spot from last week to No. 2. Alan Jackson's What I Do drops a spot to No. 3. Gretchen Wilson's Here For The Party drops one to No. 4, and Big & Rich's Horse of a Different Color sits at No. 5, also down one from last week.

Other new albums debuting this week are Willie Nelson and Friends' [link url>http://erclk.about.com/?zi=1/X%5bW]Outlaws & Angels[/link] which debuts at No. 10. Mark Chesnutt's Savin' the Honky Tonk debuts at No. 23. Charlie Robison's Good Times debuts at No. 52. Buddy Miller debuts at No. 64 with Universal United House of Prayer. Debuting at No. 65 is Jason Boland and the Stragglers with Somewhere in the Middle.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for October 9, 2004.
