For week of November 05, 2005

From Jennifer Webb, for About.com

Top 10 Country Singles
As predicted, Keith Urban's "Better Life" has hit the No. 1 spot for the third week in a row. Rascal Flatts' experienced a mighty four spot jump to land on No. 2 with "Skin (Sarabeth)," LeAnn Rimes also jumps four spots to No. 3 with "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way," and Kenny Chesney jumped (you guessed it) four spots to No. 4 with "Who You'd Be Today." "Redneck Yacht Club," by Craig Morgan, drops to No. 5 and "Somebody's Hero," by Jamie O'Neal, drops three spots to No. 6. Montgomery Gentry hit No. 7 with "Something To Be Proud Of," Dierks Bentley moves up two spots to No. 8 with "Come A Little Closer," and Joe Nichols' "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" leaps to No. 9. Rounding out the Top 10 is "Stay With Me (Brass Bed)," by Josh Gracin. Keith Urban has some steam and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it to No. 1 for a fourth week.

Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are four artists whose songs are moving up a total of five spaces this week: Luke Stricklin's "American By God's Amazing Grace" at No. 50, Gretchen Wilson's "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today" at No. 36, Big & Rich's No. 28, "Comin' To Your City," and Trace Adkin's "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" at No. 22. Brooks & Dunn wouldn't settle for a five spot jump, so this week they moved eight slots to No. 40 with "Believe."

The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Shannon Brown is making her way back to the charts with her No. 59 tune, "Corn Fed," while Sara Evans' "Cheatin'" is in the No. 56 slot. Rockie Lynne debuts "Lipstick" at No. 49 and Carrie Underwood has this week's hot shot debut with No. 39's "Jesus, Take The Wheel."

Top 10 Country Album Charts
Martina McBride debuts at No. 1 with week with her release, Timeless, while Billy Currington's new one, Doin' Somethin' Right, hit No. 2. Gary Allan's Tough All Over drops to No. 3 and Gretchen Wilson's All Jacked Up moves to No. 4. Fireflies, by Faith Hill, drops a spot to No. 5. Rascal Flatts also drop a spot to No. 6 with Feels Like Today. Sara Evans drops 4 spots with her No. 7 album, Real Fine Place, Tracy Lawrence is at No. 8 with his debut, Now And Then: Hits Collection, and No. 9 goes to Keith Urban's Be Here. Trisha Yearwoods grabs ahold of No. 10 with Jasper County.

New Album Releases
It was a big week for new albums, as all three debuted inside the Top 10. Tracy Lawrence is at No. 8 with Now And Then: Hits Collection, Billy Currington is Doin' Somethin' Right to debut at No. 2, and Martina McBride made it all the way to No. 1 with Timeless.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for November 05, 2005.
