Carrie Underwood topped the Country Music Charts for more weeks than any other artist. "Jesus Take the Wheel" spent six weeks at the top of the charts to start the year, while "Before He Cheats" spent five weeks at No. 1 near the close of the year. The album Some Hearts was certified Quadruple Platinum for over 4,000,000 copies sold.
Carrie picked up her first ACM and CMA Awards, taking home ACM New Female Vocalist, and Single of the Year for "Jesus Take the Wheel." At the CMA Awards, she took home the Horizon Award, and Female Vocalist Awards.
