The VIP fans of Bryan White were treated to a breakfast of fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, coffee and juice. Fans greeted one another and visited while Bryan met with the press on the patio just outside the double doors.
The party was started by a rising star called Jaclyn North. She played the guitar and sang a couple of songs for the crowd. Jaclyn is a winner of a regional talent competition and will continue on to finals in Texas this summer.
Bryan takes the stage
Bryan then took the stage in his warm and friendly way. He was kind of at a loss when he went to play his guitar and it wasn't there. One of his crew had to go and look for it. He made a joke about using another brand of guitar but he didn't think that would be a good idea since the guitar that was handy was not the brand that he is associated with. The crowd chuckled at his comment. He used this time to talk with his fans and answer a couple of questions. Much to their delight, he announced that he has an album coming out in 2008. That announcement was met with cheers from the crowd. He announced that his fan club party was sold out, no surprise to the loyal Bryan White fans since he is a great performer. He took time to thank his fans for coming and showing their support over the years.
Bryan is a gracious host that shares the stage with talented upcoming artists like Hunter Hayes. The performed a song written by Hunter called "You're An Angel," and then slipped right into a jam session with a song called "So Long." This guitar slapping rocking tune was a hit with the fans.
Another talented musician, Adam Clark, was an accomplished mandolin player, and he joined Bryan for a jam session.
Bryan continued his party with fan favorites "Sittin' On Go" and "Get It Together." Bryan talked about his excitement at the fact he has a bunch of new tour dates this scheduled for the summer and joked that his wife is looking forward to getting him out of the house. He has a lighthearted and warm sense of humor. The crowd greeted his concert announcements with excited cheers.
"Hands of Time" is a toe tapping favorite of mine written by Bryan about how time slips away from you and sometimes things happen and you are late for things.
I was disappointed because it was time for me to leave because I had another commitment, so I crouched down and made my way out the front door. As I walked out of the venue I could hear the crowd cheering their favorite performer. I was envious of the other fans because I was not able to stay for the entire party. It was such a warm and friendly environment, not to mention the amazing talent of Bryan White. I told myself that I would have the opportunity to see him perform again on the Riverfront Stages on Saturday.
