GAC's Storme Warren was the host for Friday night's show at the Coliseum. Bucky Covington opened the evening with "It Should Have Been Me" and "A Different World" which he admitted to not remembering some of the things the song talks about.
Special guest Ted Nugent joins Montgomery Gentry
Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry energetically followed with "Another Day." They quickly slowed the pace with their latest singles, "Lucky Man" and "Some People Change." Then, Ted Nugent joined them and the trio performed "Cat Scratch Fever." After an amazing performance Nugent left the stage and Montgomery Gentry finished their set with "Gone."
Being Part of the Television Special
The crowd was then invited to participate in the ABC Network Special airing Monday July 23rd. Sugarland was seated in the crowd, and the audience was asked to face them as they introduced Rascal Flatts. Then the crowd was told to quickly direct their attention to the stage. After five takes, the restless crowd was finally, able to relax and enjoy Sara Evans.Evans started her four song set with "Real Fine Place." Her second song was her new single, "As If," which will be featured on her Greatest Hits album due out this summer. Evans followed this with "Suds in the Bucket" and closed with a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way."
Jason Aldean took the stage with his country rock song "Amarillo Sky" and his number one song "Why." I caught myself head banging to "Johnny Cash" and shaking my fist in the air to "Hicktown."
The fifth act of the evening was Carrie Underwood. She performed songs from her Some Hearts CD, starting with "Young and Beautiful," and her latest single "Wasted."
The crowd fell silent listening to her ballads, "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "Jesus Take the Wheel." The crowd went crazy as she sang the hit "Before He Cheats."
She closed the set with "I Ain't in Checotah Anymore." Before she had a chance to leave the stage, she was called back. Underwood was gifted a plaque for her album going six times platinum. She thanked the fans for buying her record and for allowing her to perform during Fan Fair.
Little Big Town took the stage with "Bones." They sang their hits "I'm Good," "Little More You" and "Right Here." Then, of course the crowd wouldn't let them leave without performing "Boondocks."
Sugarland closes out the night
Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush closed out the night. Sugarland opened their set with a cover of Pearl Jam's "Better Man." Bush and Nettles showed their perfect chemistry with "Settlin'" and "County Line." Jennifer sang a song about being alone for the first time with a new love called "Want To." Then, they performed her song about some girls hitting the casinos "Down in Mississippi (And Up To No Good)." They performed a now-and-then song set with their latest (now) song "Everyday America" and their first (then) song "Baby Girl." They closed the show with "Something More" as the fireworks started and the crowd left the stadium.
