The final act of the night was probably the most anticipated performance of all 4 nights for a lot of people. There was a poll posted on the big screens during the Sunday show and this act topped the list of people's favorite performance thus far. It has been a long time since Reba McEntire played on the CMA Fest stage and she put on one heck of a show to make up for it! Reba's sassy attitude was apparent right from the start when she hit the stage singing one of her classic hits "Why Haven't I Heard From You?" She followed that up with the theme song from her TV series "I'm A Survivor," before bringing out a special guest. The inaugural American Idol winner and pop diva Kelly Clarkson joined Reba on stage for two songs. They did the popular duet "Does He Love You" which Reba recorded several years ago with Linda Davis, and they also sang the first single from Reba's Duets album due out this fall, "Because Of You." With both ladies having such powerful voices with their own distinct sound it's a wonder they blend so well together. But they do blend well and make for a terrific sound. Reba closed the show with and absolutely stunning performance of "Fancy." It was almost like a Broadway portrayal of the song; you could see the emotion on her face and hear it in her voice. What a way to end the first night! What else can I say about Ms. McEntire? She's one classy lady with one heck of a voice!
